What kind of fabrics do you use?
We use 3 different types of material on a regular basis, however, we are able to order and work with many materials if you provide the specs.
Sunbrella is a woven acrylic material that has proven to be the leading patio awning and boat enclosure material choice. The fabric is breathable and water repellent. Sunbrella is not recommended for winter time use. Snow and ice will shorten the life expectancy of the material
Aqualon is a resin-coated polyester fabric that is also water repellent. The material is light-weight and very pliable in both warm and cold climates. This material is not breathable and is not recommended to make complete enclosures without a venting method. The material is very strong and has proven itself in the most extreme climates.
Advantage MVP 18 is an 18.5 oz coated vinyl. The most common use of the material is truck tarp, industrial covers or any cover that may have sharp or abrasive edges. We also use this material as a reinforcement sewn on the underneath side of certain covers for additional rub-strength.
Can you make a custom cover for anything?
Yes, we can make a cover for anything. There are times where we will tell you: No we will not make a cover for this particular item. Honesty is the best policy, and if we don’t think you will be happy with the quality or longevity of the cover, we will use our discretion and tell you that we cannot make your product.
Are your covers 100% waterproof?
There are materials that we use which are classified as waterproof. Different methods of sewing, welding or adding fasteners will make the cover 99% waterproof. For example: when sewing a hem, adding webbing or reinforcements will require poking many small holes with a sewing machine needle through the material. This may allow small particles of water to enter beneath the cover. You may notice a few small drops of water penetrating the cover because of this reason. There are certain applications where Welding a seam will eliminate any sewing holes but not every job is possible.
What is the warranty for my custom cover?

There are no returns on custom orders. If you have provided us with your own measurements and pictures to create a custom request, you will not be able to return this product unless there is a warranty issue.
Custom Covers & Canvas will not be responsible for any return shipping costs. All shipping and packaging will be the responsibility of the customer.
How do you ship your orders?
Please visit our shipping page for more information
We ship our products using the least expensive method available at the time of your order. Any cover that can fit in a package less than 5 feet long, wide or deep will usually ship via UPS. Any product that requires framing or is too large for standard ground shipping will be shipped via Freight Carrier.
When ordering a product that will be shipped via freight, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the freight company will be able to access your delivery location. If you live on a one way street in a large city and you realize that a semi-truck will not be able to deliver to your residence, it is the customer’s responsibility to make arrangements to pick up the shipment at a location accessible by the freight carrier.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Delivery time of your product will vary depending on a number of factors such as:
– Is your product a stock item?
– The complexity of your cover
– What season is it (summer time is our busiest season, fall and winter are our slower season)
– Will your product ship via UPS or Freight Carrier- Are there any special instructions for manufacturing your order
– The quantity of covers you are ordering
On average our products will ship within 7-14 business days. Large products that require freight or custom orders may take 4-6 weeks to leave our warehouse.
If delivery time is critical for your order, please contact us and get an accurate time quote before ordering
How do I order a cover that is not on your website?
Please fill out our custom request form and give as much detail on your cover as possible. Please send pictures if you have them, this will help us get an accurate price and time quote for you.
Once we email you an estimate you can place your order via email or phone.
Can I order a boat cover on your website?
All boat covers, enclosures, dodgers, bimini’s, side curtains or another marine canvas element must be designed at our location.
We do not sell most boat covers online because each boat is different. Many times your boat will have an aftermarket product added to it, which makes it difficult to have a universal fitting cover.
If you have an existing cover and the material is not: dry-rotted, stretched or deformed, it may be possible to send us your old cover and we can make a new cover based on your old template.
If your cover requires snaps, we will not template an old cover and ship back to you. Snaps have to be installed on the boat with the final product. If your snap location is off just 1/8 of an inch, your cover will not fit properly. This is why using an old template which has probably stretched, shrank or became dry rotted will not be possible.
Can you add my company logo or other graphic to the cover?
Yes, we have a custom graphics shop that can apply your logo to most of our covers. There are different applications required depending on the fabric we use and the detail of your logo.
Please send us an email with your logo colors, dimensions, and fabric type to get an accurate estimate
